22 Week Update

I weighed Taylor today and she weighs a whopping 16 pounds! I noticed that she really seemed to be feeling heavier; as you can see in the pictures, she doesn't miss any meals! She is really scooching all around so I think that she will be crawling very soon - then I will really have my hands full! She continues to make so many little noises and laughs often. She loves to bounce in her exersaucer (see the video), play airplane and put anything she can in her mouth! Enjoy the pictures.

21 Week Update

Taylor is still growing like a weed! She is just so cute. This week she refuses to sleep on her back and immediately rolls over to her stomach when she is put in her crib. She has also started to push her bottom in the air when she lays on her stomach and she moves all around - she is never in the same place in the morning as she is when I put her in bed. She is now sitting in her high chair and she is eating so good. I call her my little baby bird because of the way she eats off the spoon - so adorable. I would take a picture, but I can't feed her at the same time! She is really teething also and puts everything in her mouth or as much as she can. She is just so adorable!

20 Week Update

Today Taylor is 20 weeks! I just can't believe the time has gone by so fast. We had a quiet weekend. On Sunday we went to church and then to lunch with my Dad so Taylor got to have a little Grandpa time. She is just doing so much! We have branched out and tried bananas this last week and she seemed to like them okay. She is really getting to where she eats her cereal so well although she still is very messy and not ready for public eating! I am going to try to add a video on the blog this week so you can hear how Taylor talks. I almost didn't get it because everytime I held up the camera she got distracted and quit making sounds. Hope that it works so all of you can hear her.

19 Week Update

This past weekend Taylor and I went to Waco. We got to see all of our family (which is too many to name). Taylor got to meet a friend of mine from high school Nikki Rogers as well. We did quite a lot while we were in Waco and Taylor was wonderful about being carted all around. She is just a go-go baby!

Week 18 Update

This update is getting posted late as we have been so busy. On Sunday July 27, Taylor started rolling all the way over. Since then, you can't put her down without her rolling over almost immediately - she even tries to roll over in the bathtub! Once she rolls to her stomach though, she is stuck. She moves her arm and legs like she is swimming - she reminds me of a little turtle. She is eating cereal 2 -3 times a day. During cereal time, she turns from a sweet little baby into an octopus - she wears as much as she eats! Taylor has also gotten to try peaches, but she doesn't realize yet how much she likes them. I'm sure she'll catch on soon.

17 Week Update

Wow! Taylor has been so busy since our last update. One week ago, we went to Seguin for her Granny Susu's backyard BBQ hosted by KENS 5 (a local San Antonio TV station). It was quite a party with at least 50 people plus the TV and BBQ crew. Taylor was on TV briefly, but we had to go inside (where there was no cameras taping) because it was too loud outside with everyone cheering to be on TV. Taylor did get to meet the weatherman, Bill Taylor, who hosted the BBQ for the TV station. He liked her a lot since they had the same name! Not every baby gets to be on TV at such a young age! On Saturday, we went to visit Aunt Karen, Uncle Will, Emma and Elizabeth Scull for a little play time. On Tuesday we went back to see Dr. Davis for our 4 month check up. She said Taylor was perfect (which I already knew!) Taylor weighed 14.6 pounds and is 24 1/2 inches long! Dr. Davis said that we could try rice cereal. Taylor is still not quite sure about it, but she definetely likes it better made with apple juice than milk - she must have a sweet tooth like her momma. She is able to sit up in her Bumbo chair and seems to really like it (thanks Anissa & Tandra)! I don't think she could be doing any better!

4 Month Update

I can't believe it, but Taylor is already 4 months old! All mothers probably say this, but my baby is just perfect! She is doing so much - something new everyday. She loves to sit up and look all around. She is just talking/cooing so much and she laughs at least once a day - it is the cutest thing! She smiles almost all the time and is such a happy baby. She still loves the ceiling fan, but she has started to play with more of her stuffed animals and rattles also. Taylor even tries to help hold her bottle when she is eating. Taylor got to visit with our friend Will Carter this week before he left to go back to Iraq. Last weekend, we all went to Houston for great Aunt Patti's 65th birthday party (pics will be up when I get them). Taylor got to meet her 2nd and 3rd cousins: Wally, Tahara and Cassie Cater & Brandi & Riley Richardson. We also got to see Uncle John and Aunt Anne for a little bit too. We got up and went to church in Seguin for the first time on Sunday and got to see quite a few people. We hope to have a more quiet weekend this coming one, but we'll see.
